LaFAYETTE Woodrow "Gene" Eugene Bailey passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at NHC of Rossville.He was a lifelong resident of LaFayette, Ga. Woodrow was born to the late Woodrow Wilson Bailey and Faye Raines Bailey on Dec. 29, 1939.Survived by daughter, Stephanie Gwyn Groce and husband, Edward, of Ringgold; son, Woodrow E. Bailey Jr., of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; grandchildren, Abigail Bailey, Duke and Tristan Edward Groce.Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday. Service conducted by Rev. Ricky Studdard.Interment in LaFayette Memory Gardens.Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. SundayThe arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, of LaFayette.
