Mary Rogers

Mary Corinne Rogers, 87, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.Mary was a graduate of McMinnville High School, Warren County, Tenn. She went on to attend Tennessee Tech University where she graduated will a B.S. degree in home economics and education. Mary taught 2nd grade for many years at Red Bank Elementary school. She was a member Red Bank Baptist Church and was in the Hope Sunday school class. Mary was a member of the Nancy Ward, DAR Chapter.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Ella Mae Grove; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Greer Ruble; brother-in-law, Don Yancy; nephew, Bill Yancy; son-in-law, Jimmy Lee. Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Walter Rogers; two daughters, Barbara Lee, of Buford, Ga., and Judith (Lee) Thomas, of Huntsville, Ala.; sister, Wilma Jean Yancy; four grandchildren Robyn Michelle and Kelli Marie Jones and Logan Jordon and Corey Austin Thomas.The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service today, Dec. 15, 2012, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. today, Dec. 15, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
