Thomas E. Jones, 85, of Sale Creek, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, surrounded by loved ones.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Born in Big Sandy, Tenn., he lived most of his life in Sale Creek. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army in the 33rd Engineers. Tom was a lifelong member of the Carpenters Local #74.He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam P. Jones and Lola M. Jones and infant son. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Jewell White Jones; six children, Steve (Darlene) Jones, Alan (Sabra) Jones, Greg (Linda) Jones, Karen (Curtis) Roddy, Kellie (Richard) Aslinger, all of Sale Creek and Julia (Tommy) Doss of Evensville; grandchildren, Ben (Stacie Buchanan) Jones, of Red Bank, James (Ashley) Jones, Trever Jones, Vince Roddy, Billy Roddy and Corey Standifer, all of Sale Creek, Alivia Doss, of Evensville; one brother, William "Bill" (Carolyn "Tex") Jones, of Sale Creek; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends.Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
