Louise Goins

Eliza Louise Goins, 90, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, surrounded by her loved ones.Born on June 17, 1922 on Signal Mountain, she was a daughter of the late James "Jim" and Flora Denson.Louise was a loving mother, "granny", grandma, sister, and friend to her loving family. She never met a stranger and was a friend to many, always trying to help someone or take care of them.She worked as a CNA for many years at Hamilton County Nursing Home and then at East Ridge Hospital.In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, James Goins; brothers, Jimmy and Joe Denson, sister, Mary Rogers; grandson, Jason Wilson; daughter-in-law, Kim Goins and son-in-law, Tommy Harris.Survivors include her children, Carolyn (Jerry) Case, Shirley (Bill) Cannon, Dorothy Harris, Loretta (Larry) Lunsford, Diane (Tom) McCombs, Debbie (Marvin) Plott, Rose (Larry) Hayes, Richard Goins, Tommy Lee (Barbara) Goins; brother, Richard Denson of New Orleans, La.; 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Fowler officiating.Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.The family will receive friends for visitation today and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Consulate Healthcare of Chattanooga for their care of Louise.Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services; 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN. 423-531-3975.
