Derral Edward Waters, 30, of Hixson, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, in an area hospital.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Robbie Purser Simpson.Survivors include his parents, Dale and Carolyn Waters, of Hixson; sister, Jennifer Waters, of Hixson; grandfather, Homer Simpson, of Dunlap; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a nephew that loved him dearly.A service to celebrate his life will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, in the funeral home chapel.The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Erlanger, 975 E.
