John Guffey

John Dewayne Guffey, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.He was born April 17, 1944 to Lawrence Edward Guffey Sr., and Mary Edith Guffey in Chattanooga. He retired from Astec, was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed junking metal with his brother, Grady, and listening to old music, especially listening to his son, Hank sing and play guitar.He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Kay Guffey; sons, Wayne and Charles Guffey.Survivors include his sons, Hank and Joseph Guffey; daughter, Kristen Guffey Radovich; sisters, Dorothy Hawkins and Ruth Hill; brothers, Lawrence and Grady Guffey; several grandchildren.Funeral services will be private.Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
