Elizabeth Scoggins

Elizabeth Jewell Scoggins, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away, Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, in an area healthcare facility.Mrs. Scoggins was a member of Hamilton Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Cornelia Brogdon; two sisters, Blanche McCutheon and Eliza Harris; two brothers, Bill and Jim Brogdon; several nieces and nephews.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Robert Woodall; grandchildren, Demetri Proffitt (Carrie), Patrick Moore and Jennifer Flowers; six great-grandchildren Scott, Ali and Grace Proffitt, Monroe Flowers, Treyor and Tyler Moore and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel.Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.Share your memories, stories and photos at www.legacyfuneralhome.com.Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy Daisy.
