Juanita Jarvis

Ruth Juanita Jarvis, 92, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Tennova Residential Hospice in Knoxville.Mrs. Jarvis was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She was born and raised in Chattanooga, was a graduate of Central High School and retired from Provident Insurance as a claim adjuster. She was a member of First-Centenary United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, participated in the Welsh Society of Knoxville and was an avid bridge player.She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Jarvis; parents, Jeanette and Jess Perkinson Sr.; and brothers, Jess M. Perkinson Jr. and Thomas W. Perkinson.Surviving are her son, Howard E. (Elizabeth) Jarvis of Farragut, Tenn.; daughter, Jenny J. (Frank) Beuerlein, of Knoxville; grandchildren, Lauren E. Jarvis, Emily A. Beuerlein, Kathleen C. Jarvis, William J. Beuerlein, Thomas H. Jarvis, Sarah J. Beuerlein and Katherine G. Beuerlein; sisters, Carole Casey, of Decatur, Ga., and Shirley (Bud) Kaylor, of Tampa, Fla.; sister-in-law, Nelda Jarvis, of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Cabel Trent and Dr. David Harr officiating.Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Will Beuerlein, Tom Jarvis, Kerry Perkinson, Greg Casey, Chris Casey and Les Lee.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Young Williams Animal Shelter or Tennova Residential Hospice, both of Knoxville.Please share your condolences at www.chattanoogaeastchapel.com.Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S.
