Allen Fine

DAYTON Allen "Jake" Fine, 93, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2011, at Rhea Medical Center.He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County, Tenn., and a member of the U.S. Army serving in France and Germany in WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Brady William Post 100 and the National Rifle Association. His hobbies were bowling and gardening.He was preceded in death by parents, Grover C. and Myrtle Cox Fine; granddaughter, Aileen Fine; sisters, Reba Holland, Willie Arnold and Naomi Kelly; brothers, Jewell and Ross Fine.Survivors: wife, Anna Clark Fine, of Dayton; two sons, Jackie (Dorothy) Fine, of Dayton, Jerry (Laura) Fine, of Chattanooga; two daughters, Kathy (Denny) Tumlin and Donna (Gene) Renner, both of Dayton; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank Dr. Alan Crews and his staff, and special caregivers, Evelyn Shoemake and Carol Suttles for their outstanding love and care.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Breeden officiating.Interment in Rhea Memory Gardens.Please visit www.coultergarrisonfuneralhome.com to share condolences.Visitation from 5-9 p.m. today at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home.
