James Koger

RINGGOLD James Edward "Ed" Koger, 81, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012.He was born to the late Lester Eban and Ollie Armanda Ashford Koger in Chattanooga and had lived in the North Georgia Area since 1987. Ed retired from Rutgers University in 1987 after 16 years and was the owner/operator of Mr. Ed's in Chattanooga. Ed served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jackie; and two brothers, Joe and Sam.Ed is survived by his wife, of 59 years, Patricia Koger; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Diane Koger and Robert and Sue Koger, both of New Jersey; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephew.A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 in the funeral home chapel.In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions to be made to Hutcheson Hospice 100 Mitchell Road, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742.Arrangements by W.L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
