Johnny Evans

PIKEVILLE Johnny Evans, 67, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012.He lived his whole adult life in the Nine Mile Community. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper and outdoors enthusiast. He devoted his entire life to the perfection of those callings.Johnny was a great husband, father, and friend. He will be missed by all those that knew him.He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary; his parents, Arthur "Ott" Evans and Maude Hancock Evans; a brother, Carlos Evans.He is survived and will be missed by his son and hunting partner, Tim; his three brothers, Arthur (Maxie Lee) Evans, Jimmy Evans, and Sammy (Patty) Evans; two sisters, Daisy (Hooker) Nail and Sue Holland; several nieces and nephews and many close friends.A Celebration of His Life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb 17, 2012.The family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. today.Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.Please share your thoughts online with the family at www.pikevillefuneralhome.com Pikeville Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
