Paula Powell

Paula Diana Barton Powell, of East Ridge, lost her long battle with cancer Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at the age of 66.She was born in Chickamauga, Ga., but moved to Hixson at a young age. She was a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School where she was Drum Major in the marching band. She was a long time employee of Shaw Industries where she held a supervisory position.She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Minnie Barton; and her sister, Norma Quickmire.She is survived by her sons, Dustin (Kathy) Powell, David Powell and Jeffrey Powell; grandson, John Powell; and granddaughter, Lauren Powell. She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Leamon and Judith Stabile; and her close friend, Howard Levi.A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist with the Rev.
