Betty Cloud

Betty L. Cloud, 86, of Ooltewah, went home to be with her Lord and her dear husband, LeRoy on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012.She was born in Knoxville and had lived most of her life in the Chattanooga area.Betty was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church for 43 years, where she had served as Sunday School teacher.She had done volunteer work for Memorial Hospital and Bethany Christian Services.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles D. and Lettie Seaman Roberts; her husband, William L. Cloud, a granddaughter, Megan Nicole Kerr and a brother, Tige Roberts.Survivors are three children, Ronald G. (Linda) Cloud, of Chattanooga, Stephen W. (Janice) Cloud, of Franklin, Ten., and Deborah S. Kerr, of Ooltewah; six grandchildren, Kristy (Tim) Richardson, Lori (Bobby) Reid, Matt (Kelly) Cloud, Stephanie (Todd) Presnell, Josh (Jill) Kerr, and Drew Kerr; eight great-grandchildren, Haley Richardson, Whitney Richardson, Blakely Reid, Carson Cloud, Camden Cloud, Will Presnell, Elise Presnell and Avery Kerr; brother, Ray (Elberta) Roberts and a sister-in-law, Othello Roberts.The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. today and 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday at the Valley View Chapel.Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, at the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Moore and the Rev. Eddie Wilson officiating.Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
