Charles Howard

Jr.Charles F. Howard Jr., 80, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.Mr. Howard was born in Decatur, Tenn., to Mary and Charles Howard Sr. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Teamster Union as a long-distance driver.He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Gene, Victor and Herbert Howard.Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Howard; daughter, Donna Howard; sister, Ruth (Calvin) Rogers; brother, Elic Howard; niece, Erica Klein; and nephews, Corey (Jessika) Klein and Todd and Jeff Klein.Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at the funeral home with Rev.
