Robert Shaw "Bobby" Jones, 69, passed away at a local health care facility on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012.He was retired from Central Soya.He was preceded in death by his mother, Almeda DaVaugh Jones; father, Alonzo Rosco Jones Jr.; grandmother, Johnny Mae Starr; and great-grandmother, Suedella Sanders.Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Beverly Turner Jones; children, Joe Roberts, Marlon Johnson, Antonio Hardaway, Tiffany Jones and Rosalind Jones; 17 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, in the Chapel with Rev. Anthony Fears officiating.Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
