John Hill

RINGGOLD John Floyd Hill, 78, departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012.He was born in Gilmer County, Ga., to the late James Robert and Harriett Hill. He served in the U.S. Army and later retired from Boiler Makers Local 454 in Chattanooga. John was of the Christian faith.He also was preceded in death by his siblings, Davis Hill, Ann Prejan, Barney Hill, Beth Garnes and Robert Hill.Survivors include his siblings, James Don Hill, of Ringgold, Millie Bryan, of Ashburn, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel with Pastor Chris Peponis officiating.Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Lebanon Baptist Church in Blue Ridge, Ga.Family will receive friends from 5 until 9 p.m today, and prior to the service Saturday.Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Homes, Ringgold Chapel.
