FORT OGLETHORPE Carl Clifford Coffman, 79, born in Bridgeport, Ala., and a resident of the Crossroads Community of Bay Minette, Ala., died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at his residence.He was a truck driver (retired) for Southwest Motor Freight.He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Corley) Coffman, of Crossroads; eight children, Marilyn (Nick) Burkett of Chattanooga, Connie (Wayne) Burr, of Chickamauga, Ga., Sharon Cutts of Rossville, Tec Sgt. Thomas Waymond Coffman of Bay Minette, Carla (Christopher) Cabaniss, of Moundsville, Ala., Joshua Coffman, of Bay Minette, Hoss Fretwell, of Daphne, Ala., and Clifford Lewayne Coffman of Olney, Texas; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. today, July 7, 2012 at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Rev. James Hooks officiating.Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Randy Burr, Rodney Burr, Shane "Pooh" Burr, A.J. Cutts, Elijah Cutts and James Coffman.
