Edgar Lawman

Jr.Edgar Huell "Ed" Lawman Jr., 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.Ed was born and raised in Chattanooga and graduated from the McCallie School and the University of Virginia. He served our country as a WWII fighter pilot with the United States Air Force in China. He was an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, Tenn.Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Lawman Sr., of Lookout Mountain, Tenn.; two sons, Ted Lawman and Samuel Brunswick Lawman; one grandson, Jeremiah Mays Lawman; and one sister, Sarah Wells.Ed is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Ava "Tab" Lowe Lawman; one daughter, Elsie Lawman-Markham; two sons, David (Terry) Lawman, and Tom Lawman; adopted daughter Debra Willis; grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Emily) Prater, Hannah Lawman, Audrey Lawman and Laura Lawman; one great-granddaughter, Kaylie Pettit; and numerous other extended family members and friends.A memorial service is planned for Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland located at 133 North Ocoee St., Cleveland, Tenn., with the Dr. Joseph Tanner officiating.
