Howard Brown

Howard Brown, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 5, 2012, surrounded by his family. Howard a native of Somerset, Ky., was the husband of Rosalyne, father of Linda Lee (Bob) Rose and Patricia Kay (Ronnie) Williams; grandfather of Lance (Susan) Rose, Clark (Yvonne) Rose, Gregory Williams and Rebecca (Travis) Reeves; great-grandfather of Reece, Annessa, Grace, Isaac and soon Caroline; friend of many, retired General Foreman of Southern Railway, Navy veteran of World War II, lover of clocks and antique cars, member of Chickamauga Region Antique Car Club of America, keeper of a beautiful lawn and last but most important, follower of Jesus Christ.Howard will now be with his wife of 64 years; his parents, Margaret Ann and William Daniel Brown; brothers, Lewis, Virgil, Arley and Leonard; sisters, Elsie Head, Zelma Jones and Catherine Bolin and many others after 91 years of living a full good, productive, people-filled life.The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, at Hickory Valley Christian Church, 6605 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.Services for Howard will follow at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the church with Pastor Gary Armes officiating.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Howards name to Hickory Valley Christian Church, 6605 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421, or White Field Ministries, P.O.
