ROSSVILLE Mary Harris Smith, 102, died Friday, July 6, 2012, in a local health care facility.She was born March 9, 1910, in South Pittsburg, Tenn., to the late Bud and Hattie Harris. Mrs. Smith was the oldest member of Cloud Spring Baptist Church where she had been a member for 86 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years, Jesse Smith; siblings, Mose, Bob and Dorothy Harris and Gennie Lowe.Survivors are son, Al (Hellen) Smith; grandson, Jay Smith; several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Rock Spring Cemetery with Brother Matt Hall officiating.The family would like to thank the staff of NHC Fort Oglethorpe for the love and care over the past five years and also, Brother Matt Hall for his regular visits during her confinement.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort with the family.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
