Lucy Plemons

RINGGOLD Lucy Mae Green Plemons, 90, passed on into glory to be with her Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 11, 2012.A resident of the Chattanooga North Georgia area for the past 30 years, she was formerly of Lonaconing, Md. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and a member of Baptist churches for 40 years in Northern Virginia and the Chattanooga area. She fought Alzheimers for more than 10 years. She is loved by so many and will be greatly missed.She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ottley Morgan Green; four sisters, Viola Richards, Dortha Hartley, Inez Nyman and Jackie Hillary; and stepson, Charles Plemons.She is survived by her husband of 22 years, George Edgar Plemons of Ringgold; two daughters and son-in-law, Bonni and Rev. Brad Collingwood, of Ringgold, and Karen Bianchi, of Chattanooga; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Imogene and Frank Vaughn, of Rome, Ga., and Margaret and Kermit Wright, of Ringgold; grandson and his wife, Tony and Penny Collingwood, of Red Bank; five stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday July 14, 2012 in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow at New Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Ross Woods Adult Day Services, P.O. Box 307, 1402 Walston Avenue, Dalton, GA 30720 or Heartlite Hospice Care, 101 Abutment Road, Suite 108, Dalton, GA 30721.Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
