Donald Long

Donald Lee "Dumpy" Long, 80, of Chattanooga, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at his home.Mr. Long was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and retired from the Chattanooga Police Department with 30 years of service. He was a member of Scenic City Church of God.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Tommie Jean Long; a son, Donald L. Long Jr.; and three sisters.Survivors include his wife, Martha Taylor Long; two sisters, June and Dot; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today.Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike. 423-531-3975.
