RINGGOLD Michael Earl Smith, 53, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012.A resident of the North Georgia Chattanooga area for the past five years, he was formerly of Dahlonega, Ga. He was a former employee of The Timken Co. and was a member of Woodstation United Methodist Church.He is survived by his parents, J. Lindsey and Esther Dunn, of Ringgold; son, Bobby Earl Smith, of Ringgold; two daughters, Nichole (Ben) Sutton, of Manchester, Tenn., and Whitney Smith, of Dawsonville, Ga.; two sisters, Renee (Greg) Spann, of Cave City, Ky., and Cindy (Steve) Myers, of Athens, Ga.; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, in the funeral home chapel.The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.The family would like to thank Pastor Tamlyn Collins and the members of Woodstation United Methodist Church for their prayers and support for Mike and the family.An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
