RINGGOLD Gearldean Putnam 73, made her transition from this life to her heavenly father on Tuesday, July 24, 2012.She was courageous in her battle against Rheumatic Heart and Pulmonary Hypertension.She was a lifelong resident of Ringgold and with her husband Perry Putnam owned the Country Bumpkin Restaurant for 15 years where they made many great friends.Mrs. Putnam was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Gladys Lance Russell.She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Perry L Putnam; sons, Jack (Charlene) McLemore, of Ringgold, Mike (Carolyn) Shadwick, of Ringgold; stepson, Michael Putnam, of Summerville; daughters, Carolyn (Raymond) Payton, of Newnan, Ga., and Sherry (Ken) Garner, of Ringgold; brothers, Earl Russell, Larry Russell, Jack Russell, David Russell; sisters, Bonnie Grooms, Darlene Cutler and Beverly Russell; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Carol Harrison and the Rev.
