Sr.Joseph Allen Smith Sr., 57, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012.He was the son of the late Glyn Willard and Mary Bell Smith.Joseph was born in Waycross, Ga., grew up in Jacksonville, Fla. and was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. He served our country during the Vietnam Era in the U.S. Navy. Joseph was a member of the Living Faith Church.Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Julia Smith; children, Joshua Smith, Jacqueline Smith, Josiah Smith, Joseph Smith Jr. and Bandon Smith; nine grandchildren; five siblings, Glyn, Mike, Terry Smith, Cathy McCurry and Sandra Phillips.Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at the Living Faith Church with Pastor Michael Lindon officiating.Burial will follow in National Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.Advantage Funeral Cremation Services Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors, 1724 McCallie Ave., 423-265-4414 is honored to serve the Smith family.
