Kathryne Chastain

RINGGOLD Kathryne "Granny Kat" Chastain, 93, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at her residence.She was a native of South English, Iowa, being born there on July 19, 1919, a daughter of the late Homer and Mabel King. She was of the Baptist faith.In addition to her parents, Granny Kat was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Chastain; and one sister, Mary Helen Hannah.She leaves behind to cherish her memory five daughters, Alice Faye Jones, of Ringgold, Sandra Joyce Nicholson, of Hiawassee, Ga., Pat ODell, of East Ridge, Susie Kellis, also of East Ridge, and Brenda Gale Johnston of Ringgold; three sons James T. Ballard, of Falling Water, Tenn.,, William David Chastain, of Ringgold, and Aaron Chastain, of Ringgold.
