James Coulter

ROSSVILLE James Lee Coulter, 75, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was an avid University of Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church. Mr. Coulter was vice president of Traffic for Sathers Trucking Co. and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 91 and was preceded in death by his parents, E.W. Coulter and Cleo Holbrook Coulter; and a brother, Johnny Coulter.Mr. Coulter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle.Survivors are his wife, Joyce Coulter; sons, Tim (Patty) Coulter, Yulee, Fla., Jim (Ruth) Coulter, Ringgold, Ga., Tim (Lisa) Godwin, Jasper, Tenn., Patrick (Jenna) Godwin, Ooltewah, Tenn., and Greg (Lisa) Godwin, Chattanooga; daughters, Cyndy Wortman, Rossville, Gayle (John) Moore, Chattanooga; brothers, Ervin "Willie" (Virginia) Coulter, Ringgold; sisters, Janice (Wilson) Hix, Jackson, Tenn., Mary Ann (Donnie) Raines, Rock Spring, Ga., Karen (Gary) Morgan, Rossville; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Fletcher Farris officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 519 E.
