Darlene Shipp

Darlene Shipp, 56, of Ridgeside, passed over to her own native Country, Sunday, June 17, 2012 where she joined the celebration with the great cloud of witnesses of her Everlasting Father.Darlene was the daughter of Alice McLeod and the late Petty Officer 1st Class Robert McLeod, retired, of Deland, Fla. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Randy Shipp; son, Justin Shipp, his wife, Melissa and granddaughter Annie of Chattanooga, her daughter, Jaclyn and husband, Nic Flanagan, of Knoxville. She is also survived by her sister, Cheryle Kirby and brother, Robert McLeod, of Deland, Fla.She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Ridgeside Walkers and Ridgeside Bridge Club, graduated from Central Florida University and received a masters degree from UT Chattanooga. Darlene was employed by Camping World, formally Shipps RV Center.Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, June 20, at Heritage Funeral Home on East Brainerd Road and at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, in the Connector of First Presbyterian Church.
