Mildred Chapman

Mildred G. Chapman, 97, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012.Mrs. Chapman was a native of South Pittsburg, Tenn., but had spent most of her life in Chattanooga. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church, most of her life at Clifton Hills United Methodist, and most recently, Simpson United Methodist in Rossville. Mildred retired from Sears Credit Central Northgate following many years of service.She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Chapman; brothers, Arthur, Roland and Carl Garner; niece, Madelyn Garner Neill.Left to cherish her memory are her great-nieces, Emily Bazzel, of Atlanta, and Helen Haines, of Altha, Fla.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012, at Simpson United Methodist Church with Rev. Janice M.
