Peggy Morgan

JASPER Peggy Jean Noel Morgan, 85, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2012.Peggy was born in Marion County, and attended Marion County High School where she was a member of the girls high school basketball team. She belonged to the Marion County Athletic Hall of Fame. She was an avid golfer and encouraged every one of all ages to play. She was employed by Webb Auto for many years and then worked for Marion Trust until her retirement. She was a life time member of First Baptist Church of Jasper where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school for over 32 years.She was preceded in death by her parents, Beulah Piercy and Carter Noel; husband, Carl L. Morgan Sr.; and sisters, Margarite Thach and Madeline Parker.She is survived by sons, Carl L. (Pam) Morgan Jr., of Thomasville, Ga., Joe (Vikki) Morgan, of Jasper; grandchildren, Paul (Christina) Morgan and Lindsay Morgan, of Austin, Texas, Cade Morgan, of Knoxville and Jake Morgan, of Jasper; great-grandsons, Christopher and Zachery Morgan, of Austin, Texas. She also had great friends whom she considered family.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. CDTtoday, June 23, from the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Rev.
