Mark Rouse

Mark Rouse, 53, of Chattanooga passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2012.A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, Mark graduated from Chattanooga High School.At the age of 18 he joined the United States Navy, serving the first two years aboard the USS Luce. He served four years as a naval instructor with Combat Systems Technical School Command at Mare Island, Vallejo, Calif. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Mark was involved with the Sea Cadets.Computers were one of Marks many passions. He worked for Integraph for 17 years and later in life was a self-employed computer consultant.Mark was an adventurous individual, who enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed his time boating on the lake or spending time at the ocean.He also enjoyed history and reading, but most of all Mark found great happiness in spending time with his family and was a loving father.Mark was preceded in death by his father, Tex Martin Rouse; brother, Andrew Rouse; grandparents, Wayne and Lois Smith and Goldie Rouse.Survivors include his mom, Cecile S. Lowe and her husband, Bobby; children, Justin W. Rouse, Maegan Rouse, Jennifer Callaway and her husband, Dave Ramos; mother of his children, Amanda Rouse-Rudd; grandchildren, Kasey Robinson, Jordyn Ramos and Jacob Ramos; sisters, Janet Wright and her husband, Delen, Nancy Hale and husband, Jeff; stepbrothers, Michael, Marty and Mark Lowe; nieces and nephews, Andy, Nathan, Kayleigh, Jena, Ginger and Greg; many aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.A service to celebrate his life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, in the funeral home chapel.The family will gather with friends from 4 p.m. on Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.A private family burial will be held on Saturday in Spring City, Tenn., where a portion of his ashes will be buried next to his grandfather, Wayne Smith.
