Beverly Dodd

Beverly Shaver Dodd, 65, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, at a local hospital.She was a native of Rossville and had lived in Chattanooga for the past 20 years. Mrs. Dodd has been employed with Chattanooga State for the past 16 years where she worked in Financial Aid and was currently in the Child Care Center. Her passions in life were here grandson, Garrett, her family, and her work with the children at Chattanooga State.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Dodd; and her parents, Raymond and Rena Shaver.Survivors include her son, Tom Dodd, of Chattanooga; daughter, Tina Harrison, of Ooltewah; three brothers, Rick Shaver, of New York, Ron Shaver, of Rossville, and Wesley Shaver, of Atlanta; sister, Sandra Cooper, of Ooltewah; grandson, Garrett Scott Dodd; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Zack.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. David Pickard officiating.Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-8 p.m. and Monday from noon until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
