LaFAYETTE Charles Raymond Chaney, 76, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, at his residence.He was a member of Steele Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in, death by his parents, Dock Bailey Sr. and Hattie Allgood Chaney; four brothers, Dock B. Chaney Jr., Ben Echols, Harold Echols and Abb Echols Jr.; sisters, Shirley Jean Chaney, Carrie Chaney, Mary Ruth Suttle and Louise Womble.Survivors are his devoted sister, Charlotte Chaney, of Dalton, Ga.; special nieces, Renee Mathis, Regina Dillon, of Dalton; Barbara McCutchins, of Trion, Ga., Eurskia Dillon and Micah Lee, of Dalton; special nephews, Cassius Lindsey, of Dalton, Mose Mathis III, of Nashville; sisters-in-law, Jewell Echols, of Trion, Ga., Marlene Chaney of Chickamauga, Ga.; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Church of Christ, 104 W. Main St., LaFayette, Ga., with Minister Aaron Pope and Minister George Carlisle officiating.
