Shelby Jean York, 73, loving wife and devoted mother, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 28, 2012.She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene Cochran Burrows and Arnold Lee Dawkins.She was formerly employed by Olan Mills and Mueller Company Credit Unions and had a passion for her family and her flowers.She leaves to cherish loving memories a beloved husband of 55 years, Charles R. York; daughter, Katherine York (Gary) Ridgeway; sons, Charles Scott (Carolyn) York; and David Shane York (Kimi Gregg), Miss Kitty (loved pet); four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today June 30, 2012, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jonathan Schwartz officiating.
