Sylvia Chawkin

Sylvia Chawkin, 97, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012.Born in May 15, 1915 in Russia. Long time resident of Chattanooga, lived in New York, Deerfield Beach, Fla., and most recently The Woodlands, Texas. While living in Chattanooga, Mrs. Chawkin was a member of Bnai Zion Synagogue.Preceded in death by her husband, William Chawkin.Survived by her daughter, Sharon Fields and son-in-law, Ashley Fields, of the Woodlands, Texas; granddaughter, Whitney Fields and grandson, Geoffrey Fields, of Austin, Texas; sister, Fay Pelzerman, of Deerfield Beach; several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in BNai Zion Cemetery with Jason Cathcart officiating.Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors 423-265-4414 (corner of McCallie & Hawthorne) is honored to serve the Chawkin family.
