Judy Engel

DAYTON Judith Ann Engel, 80, died Wednesday evening, March 21, 2012, in a Chattanooga hospital.Judy was born in Holland, Mich., on Feb. 24, 1932 the daughter of the late Carl and Della Overway Visscher.She was a graduate of Holland High School and had worked with human resources in Monroe, Mich. for LA-Z-BOY from 1968 until 1981. She had been a resident of Dayton for the past 31 years and was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Cleveland, Tenn.Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Ted Engel Sr.; her two daughters, Ann Marie (Bobby) Perry and Mary (Bill) Knierim; and her son, Ted (Marilyn) Engel Jr., all of Dayton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Bill (Chasity) Knierim Jr., Bobby Basile, Stefanie McAllister, Ted (Ashley) Engel III, Eric (Tracy) Roberts, Ted (Lindsey) Roberts, Jeremiah Perry and Tim Perry; eight great-grandchildren; and nine brothers and sisters.Funeral services for Judy will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with her pastor, Rev.
