RINGGOLD Betty Jean Head Sawyer, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Hospice Shepherd Cove in Albertville, Ala.She was born June 12, 1929 in Dalton to the late Aldeane and Lois Head and was preceded in death by her husband, James Sawyer; son, Rodney Sawyer; and sister, Bobbie Deane Head Barton.Betty was a 1946 graduate of Dalton High School and was retired from the Diagnostic Clinic in Chattanooga.She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Andrea Yeargin, of Rossville and Phyllis and Paul Williams, of Grant, Ala; daughter-in-law, Janice Sawyer, of Marietta, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and James White, of Dalton; special friend, Ed Moore Jr., of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Janifer and Rob Saxon, of Brooklet, Ga., Ryan and Betsy Sawyer, of Atlanta, Katie Sawyer, of Marietta, Ga., James, Rachel and Christina Williams of Grant, Ala.; three great-grandchildren, Hadley and Natalie Saxon of Brooklet, Ga. and Sidney Sawyer of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev.
