Betty Stewart

RINGGOLD Betty Frances Mackie Stewart, 82, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at her residence. She was born June 13, 1929 in Chattanooga, but lived in the North Ga. area for more than 50 years. She and her husband were Charter Members of the East Brainerd Church of God. She was retired from Woodbridge Foam Fabricating after more than 25 years of service.She was preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Ida Mae Cobb Mackie; her husband, and soul-mate of 53 years, Lawrence stewart; a son, Lawrence "Sonny" Stewart, Jr.; brothers, J. E. Mackie, C.B. Mackie and Thurman Mackie Jr., Thedford Mackie and Lloyd Joe Mackie; sisters, Vivian Wright and Juanita Lunsford.She is survived by her son, Larry Stewart, Chattanooga; daughters, Carolyn Stewart Troupe and Mary Terrell, both of Chickamauga; her sisters, Ova Perry and Willie Poe; and brother, Alvin Mackie, all of Chattanooga; and grandsons, Butch Perkins Gene Hinton, Blaine Hinton, Jarrod Troupe, and Jason Troupe; and granddaughters, Gayla Moon, Candy Crawford, and April Groce; and 21 great-grandchildren.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share condolences with the family and view the memorial tribute.Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Heritage Funeral Home with her Pastor, Brother Harold Swaggerty Officiating.
