Charles Nipper

PIKEVILLE Charles Jackson "Jack" Nipper, 86, died Saturday May 12, 2012.He was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ. Charles was a World War II Veteran, he served in the Third Army in the European Theatre. His favorite occupation was driving a rolling store. He was a lifetime farmer in Bledsoe County. He also served as Tax Assessor for Bledsoe County and was a Rural Mail Carrier on Route 4 in Bledsoe County.Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Eschol Hale Nipper and Bessie Cagle Nipper; brothers, Carlton Nipper, E.H. Nipper, Jr., Donald Nipper; and a sister, Virginia Ruth Rose.He is survived by his wife of 66 years Helen Allison Nipper; son, Charles Tommy (Linda) Nipper, Pikeville, Tenn.; daughter, Ginger Nipper (Billy) Maxwell, Dunlap, Tenn.; grandchildren, Meredith Nipper (Matt) Collins, Lewisburg, Matthew (Cindy) Nipper, Pikeville, Will (Susie) Maxwell, Spencer, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Mason Nipper Collins, Lewisburg and Mia Gloria Nipper, West Palm Beach, Fla.Services will be held at 4 p.m. CST Tuesday in the chapel of Pikeville Funeral Home with Min. T.A. Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. CST today and until service time on Tuesday.
