William Russell Story, 88 of Chattanooga, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at his home.Mr. Story was retired from Western Electric after 37 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and volunteered with Habitat For Humanity. He was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church and the Eustice Sunday School Class.He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Story; parents, William Henry Story and Lee Petty Story; sisters, Sara Story Speight and Mary Scott Story Warwick.He is survived by his daughters, Cindy Haley and husband, Tom, Ooltewah, Caroline Story, Chattanooga; son, Russ Story and wife. Jayme, Collierville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Jeremy Haley, Kim Koonce and Robert Barker, Mark and Cheryl Koonce; great-grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Avery Smith, Quetin Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
