ALTAMONT Mrs. Evelyn Collins, 79, of the Skymont Community passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at her home.She was a member of Air View Baptist Church. She was born in Cleveland, Tenn., on January 30, 1933 to Henry and Mae Messer Miller who preceded her in death along with her husband, William R. Collins; son, Kevin Collins; brother, Ralph Miller; sisters, Thelma Hooper, Lillard Stewart, Louetta McKenzie, Cecil Hampton, Opal Hixson and Dean Rymer. She is survived by her daughters, Joy (Wayne) Trim, Sevierville, Tenn., Robin (Archie) Campbell, Shelbyville, Tenn; sons, Ricky (Patsy) McGinnis, Coalmont, Tenn.; and Darryl Collins and fiance, Alli Garr, of McMinnville, Tenn.; sisters, Alvada (Kenneth) Rymer, Joyce (Douglas) Hobbs, Altamont and Lois Winton, Guntersville, Ala.; grandchildren, Christie (Bradley) Layne, Misty and Sierra Campbell and Hayden Garr; great-grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer and Levi Campbell, Desiray and Kirsten Layne; and a host of loving nieces and nephews; special friend, David Hall.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Melvin Childers and Neal Foster officiating with burial to follow in the Air View Cemetery.Visitation: 3 - 9 p.m. today at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tenn.. www.laynefuneralhome.com.
