Louise Letner

Louise Legg Letner, 68, courageously battled oral cancer, left her worldly body and joined God in heaven on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.Louise was born in Decatur, Tenn., and graduated from Meigs County High School. Louise was a beauty queen winning many titles including "Miss Congeniality" in the Miss Chattanooga pageant of which she was most proud. Louise attended Edmondson Business School where she earned her medical secretarial degree and worked in the medical field before entering the banking industry. She retired in 2009 from her herbalist position to care for her terminally ill husband.Louises biggest life blessing was the birth of her daughter, Holly Letner Bilic. Having been told that she would never be able to conceive a child, her daughter was truly a gift from God. At the age of 65, she became a very proud grandmother for the first time.Anyone who knew Louise, understood that her faith in God was predominant in her daily life. No matter where she was, she was a disciple for God. Louise was loved by everyone who was touched by her kind, sensitive and loving nature. She will be so very missed by many people.Louise was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 47 years, James "Dub" W. Letner; mother, Mildred Legg Finney; and father, Charles G. Legg.Survivors are her daughter, Holly (Senad) Bilic, of Ringgold; grandson, Niko James Bilic, of Ringgold; stepfather, Charles C. Finney Sr., of Athens; two sisters, Vivian (Jack) Littleton, of Chattanooga and Nadine (Johnny) Hancock, of Chattanooga; special best friend, Sue Spicer, of Chattanooga, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.A memorial service and celebration of Louises life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Calvary Bible Church, 4001 Mountain Creek Road, Chattanooga, with the Rev. Bill Henry officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, P.O.
