Harold McLeod

ROSSVILLE Harold M. McLeod, 93, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012. Mr. McLeod was a native of Fyfe, Ala., and had lived most of his life in the Chattanooga and Rossville area. Mr. McLeod was a United States Coast Guard Veteran having served during World War II and he was a Master Saddle Designer having worked for several saddlery companies in the area. He was an active member of the Bible Way Baptist Church. His passions in life were God, family, fishing, and traveling.He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Verna McLeod; parents, Grady and Pluma McLeod; two sisters, Helen Chamberlain and Faye Cook; and son-in-law, Don Murphy.Survivors include his daughter, Janice Murphy, of Rossville; son, Dale McLeod, of Chattanooga; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.To share your thoughts and memories, visit www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Dr. Vincent Estill officiating.Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Military Honors.The family will receive friends today from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from noon until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
