Verma Stevens

FORT OGLETHORPE Verma Monroe Stevens, 93, formerly of Skirum, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Parkridge East Hospital, surrounded by her family. For the last three years she has lived with her daughter. She will be missed by all of her loved ones and friends.She was preceded in death by son, Don Carroll; parents, Johnny and Citty Monroe; five sisters; two brothers; grandson, Nicky Don Adkins.Survivors include one daugher, Joan Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Billy (Wanda) Jones.Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Crossville Memorial Chapel.Interment in Skirum Cemetery.
