RINGGOLD Jack T. Berry, 81, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012.A resident of the Ringgold area for the past 62 years, he was formerly of Lyerly, Ga. Jack was a former employee of DuPont where he worked for 33 years, a veteran of the National Guard, of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Lyerly High School. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, VFW and American Legion.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Berry; son-in-law, Allen Jones; parents, Bob and Rachel Chapman Berry; brothers, Donald, Carlton "Curly" and R.H. Berry; and sisters, Barbara Berry Salard and Mary Beth Dutto.He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Love Berry, of Ringgold, Ga.; four daughters, Jackie (Bobby) Mathis, of Ringgold, Ga., Janet Berry Jones, of Rossville, Donna (Terry) Edwards, of Adairsville, Ga. and Kathy (Randy) Dodson of Flovilla, Ga.; sister, Hilda Jean Davis, of Summerville, Ga.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.A celebration of life service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday Nov. 15, 2012, at the funeral home with Chaplain Ben Brychta officiating.Interment will follow at Lyerly Cemetery in Lyerly, Ga.
