RINGGOLD Richard Chastain Davis, 69, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012.A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, Richard was a member of Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle and a former employee of Tractor Supply in Fort Oglethorpe. A man who was loved and respected by all who knew him, Richard was known as "Grandpa" by the family that he loved and cherished.He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Davis; and parents, James Ralph Davis Sr. and Vera Inez Peters Davis.He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Cain Davis; two daughters, Angie (Tony) Wells and Susan (Rowdy) Bickley; brother, Ralph Davis Jr.; five grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Chambers, Amanda (Mike) Broome, Bailea Bickley, Ricki Lynn Bickley and Mikayla Wells; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Ava Broome, all of Ringgold; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Tony Wells and Brother Mark Smith officiating.Interment will follow at the Baxter Addition to Anderson Cemetery.
