Bobby Davis

Robert "Bobby" Vaughn Davis, 65, of Hixson, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, in a local hospital.He was preceded in death by his father, C.H. Davis, former Postmaster, of Signal Mountain; daughter, Kelly Adams; and grandparents, D.V. and Ora Miller.He retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 41 years of service. A very important and honored event in his life was being awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his heroism in action in the Republic of Vietnam.Survivors include his loving wife and best friend, Glenda Marie Davis, of Hixson; mother, Iris Davis, of Signal Mountain; son Robert Scott (Theresa) Davis, of Signal Mountain; son, Anthony "Tony" Davis, of Denver, Colo.; stepdaughter, Tina (Dale) Starnes, of Soddy-Daisy; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.He will be missed by all who loved him, especially by those who fondly call him "Pap-Pap".The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the North Chapel.Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Brother Don Fergerson officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
