Cavella Ferguson

Cavella Ferguson, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, with her family by her side.She was born May 10, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio to James and Edith Terrell and had 11 brothers and sisters. Cavella graduated from Pine Forge Academy and attended Oakwood College. She later married Dr. Samuel Ferguson and lovingly reared three children, Valerie, Vicki and Vincent Ferguson in San Mateo, Calif. She was an accomplished singer and performed throughout the United States notably the contralto lead for the Messiah. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joiner as the eulogist.Burial: Greenwood Cemetery.
