James Bice

Sr.ELLIJAY James Wallace Bice Sr. died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012.Mr. Bice was born Dec. 29, 1920 in Chattanooga to the late Willus Bice and Zora Petty. Mr. Bice worked as a plumbing and heating contractor and was a member of Nile Mile United Methodist Church and U.S. Army Veteran.Survivors include wife, Mary Beth Perry Bice, of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, James Wallace Jr. and Phyllis Bice, Eddie Eugene Bice and Morris Wayne Bice, all of Chattanooga; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn Sue Bice and Tracy Smith, Chattanooga; stepchildren, Samuel J. Cash, Chattanooga, Rachel S. Kezh, Decatur, Ga., Barbara Leslie, and Beverly Hardeman, both of Ellijay; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 27, at from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cruse and Rev. Kenny Bailey officiating.A second service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy. Interment will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. today, Nov. 27, at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy.
