James Hodge

James Curtis Hodge, 77, of Ooltewah, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.Born on Jan. 11, 1935 in Tullahoma, Tenn., he was the son of the late Rev. Joseph and Lyda Hodge and was also preceded in death by a son, James E. Hodge; two sisters, Martha Helen and Joann Hodge.He was a member of Ooltewah Church of God where he served as treasurer and on the board of trustees and was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served with the 4th Armored Division in Europe. Survivors include his wife, Ann Hodge; daughter, Carolyn (C.J.) Kruse, Ooltewah; two sons, Michael (Amanda) Hodge, Cleveland, Tenn., and Ronald Hodge, Chattanooga; five grandchildren, James (Saron) Knight, Ricky, Ashley, Jeremy Stanton and Trever Hodge; great-grandchildren, Conner, Damien Knight and Makenzie Shook; two sisters, Louise (Mitchell) Conerly, Bessemer, Ala., and Linda (Lloyd) Sims, Dunlap, Tenn.; brother, Ralph (Rosa) Hodge, Bessemer, Ala.Funeral services will be held at noon Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
